The Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre is located in Santorini, in Fira, the Capital of the island, overlooking the Caldera and the volcano. This neoclassical Mansion, with its characteristic red colour, has been renovated into a functional Conference Centre while at the same time keeping its traditional character. It contains a main conference hall of 178,40 sq.m. of a capacity of 220 people, with exquisite acoustics and air conditioning, halls for councils (capacity of 20 people), areas for teamwork, registrations, secretarial and technical support, areas for coffee-breaks, halls for receptions and social events, and is equipped with all the modern audiovisual technical means.
A team of professional collaborators assists the conference participants, having their continuous concern for the absolute success of conferences and guarantee of the essential and appropriate atmosphere for acquaintances, friendly relations, exchanges, and collaboration in a very pleasant and comfortable environment.
Access to the island is easy. Thirty-five minutes by plane from Athens, and connections are also available from the port of Piraeus and from other islands. There are direct flights from various European countries as well as flights to Crete, Rhodes, and Mykonos. The island provides a large network of transport and a variety of travel means.
During their stay, the conference participants can be lodged in luxurious, ultramodern, and/or traditional hotels and there are all types the restaurants serving either traditional Santorinian dishes and wines either international cuisine.
Santorini offers through its history of 3500 years some of the most important archaeological finds of the precocious Aegean civilization. Archaeological sites, monuments, museums, old churches and monasteries can be visited. Organized excursions are possible to the active volcano and to the close by islands. Graphic little villages and modern commercial centers are found at a small distance of the Conference Centre. The Conferece Centre Petros M.
